WorldNetDaily couldn't be happier that Jerome Corsi finagled a spot on Mitt Romney's press plane. From a Nov. 6 WND article:
It hardly went unnoticed by the jealous and zealous monolithic media when WND senior staff writer and multiple No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Jerome Corsi began traveling with the Mitt Romney campaign weeks ago.
Various news agencies questioned Corsi and WND why he was on the press plane.
His answer was simple: “I’m a journalist covering a presidential candidate. Where else should I be?”
If only these press gatekeepers were aware of what happened yesterday – when Romney’s inner circle invited Corsi to abandon the press plane and travel with the Romney plane!
Corsi, who had planned to spend a week or two on the campaign trail, ended up staying much longer – capping it off with a stay tonight in Boston for the planned election victory night celebration.
Corsi, of course, is not a journalist -- he's a right-wing activist who has spent the past four-plus dedicating his life to the personal destruction of Barack Obama. If Corsi was a real journalist, wouldn't he have reported by now that his birther conspiracies have been discredited?
Ultimately, this reflects much worse on the Romney campaign than it does WND. After all, WND is a known entity as a rabid Obama-hater that's much more bias than the "mainstream media" could ever dream of being. As a result of that, as well as its insistence on reporting conspiracies and falsehoods, nobody believes WND.
Romney's campaign should have known that it was allowing a journalist whose credibility is on par with the Weekly World News not only on the press plane but, if WND is to be believed, giving him a promotion to the candidate's own plane. That it did not, or didn't care, is somehing the Romney campaign should explain.
Alan Caruba: Obama's Re-Election Means America is Committing 'National Suicide' Topic: CNSNews.com
Alan Caruba -- he of the global warming denialism -- is not taking President Obama's re-election well, arguing in his Nov. 6 CNSNews.com column that America is committing "national suicide" in doing so.
After lamenting that "Romney, sadly, lacked sizzle," Caruba went into an all-too-familiar conspiracy-laden smear attack of Obama:
Obama has never had any real sense of how people feel about things that are important to them. Why should he?
He was raised in a communist cocoon in which family, friends, fellow students, teachers, and mentors ensured he would never be exposed to the fundamentals of free market capitalism that has been the bedrock of the nation’s prosperity. I have written repeatedly that he just does not like America and that this explains his view that our nation is not an exceptional place in which to live.
His mother was attracted first to an African and, after being divorced, to an Indonesian, both Muslims. And then she abandoned Obama to the care of his leftist grandparents. His academic life led him from Occidental College to Columbia University, and then onto Harvard Law School, all leftist strongholds and, yet oddly few of his fellow students even remembered him.

Despite four years of his campaign and his first term not enough Americans understood that Barack Obama is as alien to America as if he had come from some very different, very foreign place.
Caruba also writes:
In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:
"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."
As we first documented in 2004 -- when this quote started popping up in chain emails -- the professor's last name is Tytler, not Tyler, and according to Snopes, there's no evidence Tytler actually said this.
How apropos that Caruba's conspiracy-mongering ends with an inaccuate quote from a chain email.

John Adams, Founding Father and the nation’s second President warned: "Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide."
Today, conservatives in America are wondering if the 2012 election was a vote to commit national suicide.
Looks like Caruba's going to need more than a little healing -- and a lot of education in basic research -- to recover from this election.
Kessler Isn't Talking About His Wildly Wrong Prediction Of A Romney Landslide Topic: Newsmax
Dick Morris isn't the only right-wing writer to stake his professional reputation on a Mitt Romney landslide.
On Sept. 4, Newsmax's Ronald Kessler wrote an article called "Why Mitt Romney Will Win Decisively," in which he declared, "My prediction is that Romney will win by 10 to 12 percentage points." On Nov. 6, Kessler reiterated his prediction:
The shift to Republicans in the last congressional and gubernatorial elections, the intensity favoring Romney, and the early voting results on his side — not to mention the state of the economy — are all signs that point to the landslide I have been predicting.
Needless to say, Kessler got it wrong -- President Obama won re-election. But while Morris has issued a something of a mea culpa by admitting he got the election's demographics wrong, Kessler has yet to do so.
Instead, Kessler's first post-election column is dedicated to bucking up Republicans by embracing John Boehner's position on refusing to raise taxes to avoid the end-of-year fiscal cliff. "According to my sources, you can count on this: When Boehner says the Republican-dominated House will not raise taxes on the wealthy, he means it," Kessler wrote.
The question of Morris' sincerity aside, at least he did the walk of shame on Fox News. When will Kessler admit he wrong about a Romney landslide?
AIM's Don Irvine Tweets His Conservative Grief Topic: Accuracy in Media
Not to be outdone by the Media Research Center and WorldNetDaily, Accuracy in Media chief Don Irvine wanted to make sure everyone who followed him on Twitter knew he was just as bitter as they were about President Obama's re-election.
He started with the usual right-wing lament: "The liberal media wins another one for Obama."
Then it was right to denial: "Going to bed. Maybe I'll wake up in a few hours and find out is was just a bad dream."
When he woke up, Irvine was dismayed to see how things went in his home state of Maryland:
The Media Research Center isn't the only ConWeb component that's bitter about President Obama's re-election. Here's the original image (since changed) that accompanied WND's front-page carousel promo for its lead election story:
The carousel image has since been changed to a less evil-looking one.
But that's nothing compared to WND editor Joseph Farah's declaration that Obama's re-election is nothing short of "God's judgment" against America:
For those of us who fundamentally reject Obama’s policies, things are going to get very rough for the next four years. We have allowed our fellow Americans to pronounce judgment on the nation.
That’s what Obama represents to me – God’s judgment on a people who have turned away from Him and His ways and from everything for which our founders sacrificed their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.
Farah seems not to have considered that Obama's re-election may be God's judgment against him.
The price of WND's politics of personal destruction is that nobody beleives WND. Obama's victory is WND's failure.
Perhaps Obama's re-election is God's way of saying that he will no longer tolerate the lies and the libel and the smears coming from Joseph Farah and those he employs at WND.
If Farah really is the man of God he repeatedly portrays himself as, he should apologize to WND's readers for the bile and the lies his website has published over the years. Then, he should follow his own advice by humbling himself before God and begging for forgiveness.
The MRC's Sour Grapes Over Obama's Re-Election Topic: Media Research Center
The Media Research Center did not take President Obama's re-election well, if their tweets are any indication.
MRC researcher Scott Whitlock flatly declared, "America is screwed."
MRC videographer Dan Joseph wrote, "If I were Romney, I would NOT concede until the popular vote margin is clear."
MRC Business & Media Institute writer Liz Thatcher was particularly bitter. She wrote, "Sick to my stomach about what the future of the country may be."
Thatcher followed that up with, "This is what the country wants, though, so we deserve whatever we get."
NewsBusters managing editor Ken Shepherd concurred, lamenting, "We get the government we deserve."
And Matt Philbin -- last seen defending Rush Limbaugh's misogyny -- tweeted, "Well girls, you can all rest easy, having secured your right to federally subsidized lady parts. What a country."
MRC chief Brent Bozell's new column is yet another fit of anti-media ranting, complaining that "the media lauded Obama no matter how horrendous his record, and they savaged Obama’s Republican contenders as ridiculous pretenders."
Bozell later appeared on Fox Business to insist that "There is absolutely no way" that the liberal media "represents the beliefs of the American people."
The MRC's Rich Noyes went over to the Fox News website to list "Five ways the mainstream media tipped the scales in favor of Obama." Among them is "partisan fact checking" -- which is basically Noyes complaining that conservatives were fact-checked, period.
But there's an elephant in the room that nobody at the MRC will likely talk about in public: the apparent failure of the MRC's $5 million anti-media "Tell the Truth!" campaign. Perhaps if so much of that money hadn't been wasted on stunts like Times Square billboards and preaching to the choir, maybe it would have had better results.
WND's Klein Hides Behind Yet Another Anonymous Anti-Obama Smear Topic: WorldNetDaily
Aaron Klein attempted one last sloppy smear of President Obama with a Nov. 4 WorldNetDaily article quoting a "senior Palestinian Authority negotiator" claiming that "if President Obama secures another four years in office, he will use his second term to target Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the main party to blame for the collapse of Mideast peace talks."
As is typical for Klein, the "senior negotiator" is anonymous -- indeed, there are no named sources whatsoever in Klein's article, and he doesn't explain why he granted anonymity to someone who, by dint of the person's status with the Palestinian Authority and Klein's own status as a Kahanist sympathizer, he presumably considers to be a terrorist.
Klein's history and his failure to provide an explanation for granting anonymiy means there's no reason for anyone to trust what his anonymous source says.
UPDATE: Perhaps in search of some reassurance in his Obama-hate, Klein's first post-election article turns to notoriously anti-Obama far-right Israeli politician Danny Danon -- who has called Obama a "dictator" -- for some comforting Obama-bashing.
Doug Wead has spent much of the 2012 campaign season being Newsmax's biggest Ron Paul fan. He eventually transferred that enthusiasm to Mitt Romney, which resulted in Wead's Nov. 5 column, in which he suggested that Romney was the fulfillment of a Mormon prophecy.
After highlighting a statement by Mormon Church founder Joseph Smith -- “The time will come when the Constitution and government will hang by a brittle thread and will be ready to fall into other hands but this people, the latter-day saints will step forth and save it" -- Wead declared that "If history is any indicator Mitt Romney will win Tuesday's election." He continued:
Only America's guilt over racism and it infatuation with Barack Obama's personality can save the incumbent.
The grand spectacle of inaugurating a Mormon president in 2013 after inaugurating an African-American in 2009 would make this another seminal moment in our history. The long suffering and persecution of a gracious, hardworking and honorable people would finally come to an end.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir would sing at the inauguration and there would be chills up our spines and tears in our eyes. The Mormon journey would finally be over. All of America would now be their home. It would be another true healing.
But whether Mitt Romney can fulfill the prophet's words and save us is another question altogether. Can Romney, the wounded animal, still carrying his grudges, deserved as they may be, now heal the land? Can the man who will change his opinion on any issue to add a few numbers to his popularity have the strength of character to lead us?
And finally, what exactly did Joseph Smith's prophecy mean? He didn't say that the Constitution would be restored just that it would be "saved" and in another paragraph, that it would be "born away" by its savior.
If the historic trend continues and Mitt Romney wins, as I suspect, where will Mitt Romney decide to take it?
Well, that prophecy didn't quite hold up as well as Wead hoped, did it?

Joseph Farah declares in his Nov. 5 WorldNetDaily column:
I am not a likely candidate to endorse Mitt Romney for president.
In fact, I once wrote, during the heated primary contest earlier this year, that I wouldn’t vote for Mitt Romney if he were running against Satan himself.
Fortunately, I never said what I would do if he were running against Barack Obama.
I don’t think I’m alone when I tell you that I could vote enthusiastically for Santorum in a race against Obama. I could not do that if Romney is the nominee.
There are many Americans who simply will not reward Mitt Romney with the presidency simply because he gets the nomination as the candidate to oppose Barack Obama. You can count me as one of those millions.

And the award for the stupidest analysis of events surrounding the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, goes to CNSNews.com editor in chief Terry Jeffrey, whose Nov. 4 article on the subject is headlined "CIA Timeline Confirms: Woods and Doherty Killed in Benghazi 7Hrs After WH Told of Attack; Commercial Airliner Can Fly From London to Libya and Back in That Time."
And yes, that's exactly what he writes about:

Jeffrey's stupid reference to sending commercial airliners to Libya plays into the bogus right-wing narrative that President Obama deliberately abandoned Americans in Benghazi. In fact, even Fox News military analyst retired Gen. Jack Keane has pointed out:
The fact of the matter is, what took place in terms of response to the consulate and response to the CIA base was pretty significant from inside the country, and the reality is the quick response force that came out of the CIA base moved in 24 minutes -- now we know for a fact based on surveillance tapes, from the time the consulate called for help -- and clearly, what those people did is miraculous and certainly courageous in rescuing everybody was still alive. Also, a reaction force was organized from Tripoli and moved to the CIA base, which was under attack for four hours, and also strengthened that CIA base and then was able to safely evacuate them to the airport and back to Tripoli.
Further, as Fox News host Geraldo Rivera noted, "We have never in the history of this republic mounted a raid on the circumstance described here [in Benghazi] ever. We have never done it. The Israelis, when they rescued their people in Entebbe, it took them seven days to mount that operation. This was seven hours."
WND's Massie: Obamas' "Fruit Is the Fruit of Satan" Topic: WorldNetDaily
You know that Mychal Massie is a depraved liar and a walking case of Obama Derangement Syndrome. And he delivers more hate in an Election Day column at WorldNetDaily.
Massie ironically begins by noting "a uniformity of resentment and a consolidation of bitterness/anger that embody blacks" -- as if resentment and anger haven't been a staple of Massie's anti-Obama bile. He then calls the North Carolina chapter of the NAACP "godless servants of the devil" for criticizing Billy Graham's implicit endorsement of Mitt Romney. That set off Massie on yet another anti-Obama tirade:
If those NAACP leaders who also claim to be ministers actually spent time reading and studying the Bible, they would know that a socialistic view of appropriation (read: extortion by guilt and racial intimidation) exampled by Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton has no biblical basis. They would also know that at the top of God’s agenda is salvation through Jesus Christ and the Great Commission to go forth preaching and teaching and leading people to be disciples of Christ.
William J. Barber, president of the state NAACP, who claims to be a minister, accused Franklin Graham of “cherry-picking easy parts of Christianity.”
First of all, Mitt Romney is not a Christian; he’s a Mormon – and yes, there is a difference. Secondly, if the Obamas were Christians, we would see the witness of the Spirit of God in the way he and his wife comport themselves. It’s not that we don’t know them by their fruit, because we do – their fruit is the fruit of Satan.
Since Massie is a black Obama-hater, his column (as one of several black-right-wingers writing at WND) gives WND cover to race-bait through the work of Colin Flaherty and his white-nationalist-friendly rants about "black mob violence."
Perhaps Massie should examine what his work gives cover to before he slings hysterical insults at others for holding different opinions than he does.
Ronald Kessler's Last-Minute Romney-Fluffing Topic: Newsmax
Newsmax's Ronald Kessler wraps up his season of Romney-fluffing with a pair of articles designed to boost Mitt Romney and attack President Obama.
On Nov. 2, he featured Richard Grenell -- whom he identifies only as "the former U.S. spokesman at the United Nations," -- bashing Obama over Libya and asserting that "Obama should have immediately denounced the failure of Libya and Egypt to protect the American embassies there." Kessler failed to mention that Grenell is an adviser to Romney and was his foreign-policy spokesman until forced out of that position by conservatives (like the Media Research Center's Dan Gainor) who didn't like the fact that Grenell is gay.
Today, Kessler once again touted the prospect of a landslide win for Romney, declaring that "President Obama’s admonition to supporters booing the mention of Mitt Romney’s name that 'voting is the best revenge' spotlights his character and his motivation" and that it's "the same nasty attitude of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., his longtime preacher, sounding board, and mentor.
Kessler also declares "Obama is an elitist with a chip on his shoulder." Pretty funny coming from a guy who pals around with Donald Trump.
Shocker! Aaron Klein Still Committing Identity Fraud Topic: WorldNetDaily
Further demonstrating that he has nothing better to do with his life than engage in juvenile pranks, Aaron Klein is keeping up his sillystunt (and apparent identity-fraud crime) of dinking around on President Obama's campaign website under the name "Osama bin Laden."
Klein declares in a Nov. 5 WND article: "Despite a widely circulated WND article exposing the effort last week, 'Osama bin Laden,' using a Pakistani proxy server, is still running a grassroots fundraising page titled 'Fatwa: Foreign Donations' that openly seeks foreign donations on President Obama’s campaign website."
Klein seems not to have considered the possibility that the Obama campaign has more important things to do than respond to a pranking, publicity-seeking troll like Klein who is committing identity fraud and who works for a website that nobody believes.
Klein also claims that "WND filed a complaint about the foreign donations with the Federal Elections Commission," but he offers no evidence of the complaint, nor does he address the problem of his committing identity fraud -- a possible crime -- in making his "illegal donation."
By continuing to push this stunt, Klein simply comes off as bitter that his anti-Obama book was mostly ignored.
Chick-fil-A was the not-so-subtle hint of what’s coming on November 6. I guess New York Times pollster Nate Silver didn’t notice. He's the darling of the left. He keeps touting magical polls that show Obama as unbeatable. His polls are perfect to amuse and entertain the delusional left.
These are the same New York Times-reading, latte drinking, hypocritical limousine liberals who didn't notice the big development of the past few days — Reverend Billy Graham endorsing Mitt Romney and supporting him with full page ads in newspapers across America. Just another monumental development completely misunderstood or purposely ignored by the mainstream media.

By Election Day, with the momentum in favor of Romney, I believe deep-blue Pennsylvania and Wisconsin will go red for Romney. Obama is still the favorite in states like Michigan, Minnesota, and New Jersey, but Romney could pick off 1 or 2 of these if things break right.
A Reagan-like landslide is now a very real possibility.
And liberals should give delusional and clueless pollster Nate Silver of The New York Times a gold watch and a retirement dinner.
Joseph Farah's Todd Akin Revisionism Topic: WorldNetDaily
In using his Nov. 3 WorldNetDaily column to rant about how Democrats "don’t really have a problem with rape. They have a problem with God," Joseph Farah writes:
It all started with Rep. Todd Akin’s deliberately misconstrued remarks about “legitimate rape.” The Missouri Senate candidate’s point was not to delegitimize rape. It was to save human life. Akin is a devout Christian whose faith is behind his strong opposition to killing innocent unborn babies. It’s worth noting that the 1973 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision was over a case in which a woman admittedly claimed rape falsely to legitimize her decision to abort her child – a “choice” she and many other women who make such claims later deeply regret for the rest of their lives.
The despicable, amoral Democrats, like Akin’s unworthy opponent, incumbent Sen. Claire McCaskill, and their warped allies in the news media twist and distort the intent of such statements to obscure the real issues facing the nation and demonize God-fearing, righteous and imperfect men like Akin.
By focusing on "intent," Farah cleverly avoids fully quoting what Akin actually said -- that "If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down." The implication of Akin's statement is that a pregnancy from a rape means it wasn't really rape. The fact that Farah doesn't quote Akin fully is an admission that he knows Akin completely got it wrong about the whole "shut that whole thing down" stuff, but he's not going to call Akin out on that.
As Amanda Marcotte points out, Akin's view -- with which Farah clearly concurs -- comes from an "overwhelming fear that women are consenting to sex and weaseling out of their due punishment." Akin and Farah seem to think women must be punished, if not by getting pregnant then some other means, for having sex.Farah's invoking of the Roe v. Wade case is irrelevant here.
Farah goes on to sneer that Karl Rove "and his limp-wristed, bed-wetting friends in the Republican establishment are in the position of hoping Akin loses." That Farah would invoke a gay stereotype to insult someone he disagrees with demonstrates how little regard Farah has for gay people. (But if you read WND, you already knew that.)
Farah goes on to ask: "If Democrats truly believe rape is so horrible, and the accuser is always right, why did they dismiss so cavalierly Juanita Broaddrick’s credible rape allegation against Bill Clinton?" But Broaddrick's rape allegation wasn'tcredible because she spent the previous 20 years denying the alleged rape including in a civil deposition, the friends who backed her rape story up had a grudge against Clinton, and the main promoters of her story were part of the usual band of Clinton-haters Farah relied on in 1990s for his attacks on the president.
