Topic: NewsBusters
NewsBusters' Noel Sheppard -- he of the repetitious headline cliches -- seems to have found a theme to pound into the ground.
Sheppard wrote these two headlines within a 24-hour span on Aug. 6 and 7:
- Richard Wolffe Flat Out Lies About Obama's Eight Percent Unemployment Pledge
- Arianna Huffington Flat Out Lies About Investment Firm's Economic Opinion of Debt Ceiling Deal
- Maddow Flat Out Lies About S&P’s Downgrade Explanation: 'Not Because There's Too Much Debt'
These follow a similarly themed headline he wrote on Aug. 5: "Rush Limbaugh Catches Rachel Maddow In Bald-Faced Lie About Him."
The "flat out" thing seems to have begun with a July 29 post carrying the hadline "Fareed Zakaria Flat Out Lies About Deficits, Debt Ceiling and U.S. Credit Rating."
The irony, of course, that Sheppard has a notable history of flat-out lying about things.
