WND Portrays Roseanne Barr As A Victim; Peterson Says Jarrett Really Does Look Like An Ape Topic: WorldNetDaily
WorldNetDaily is arguing that the real victim of Roseanne Barr's racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett is ... Roseanne Barr.
An anonymously written May 29 WND article on the post-tweet aftermath stated only that Barr "tweeted an insult of Valerie Jarrett, Barack Obama’s confidante. The bulk of the article, though, was devoted to "public shaming" of people who commit offensive behavior, with particular focus onone writer's lament about lives being ruined by "mass social justice"and a dismissal of a New York lawyer's tirade against two women who were speaking Spanish as merely "politically incorrect."
Then, WND's columnists felt the need to weigh in. Barbara Simpson approved of Barr's insult: "I thought it was funny in a twisted, insulting way. And I still do. It’s awful and insulting and in bad taste, but it is morbidly funny."
Simpson then rushed to blame everyone else but Barr -- the president of ABC Entertainment for being "the first black entertainment chief of a major broadcast network" ("That wouldn’t be a politically correct question to ask – but it is out there") and Ambien, a defense Barr offered that Simpson readily embraced. "Given the acknowledged side effects of Ambien, it is entirely possible that Roseanne Barr could have done those tweets while under the influence of the drug and not have any recollection of it," she wrote, adding, "Despite the reality of Ambien, Roseanne was cut no slack."
Simpson concluded: "I would submit If Roseanne Barr is guilty of anything, it’s stupidity. She’s had a career of insulting all kinds of groups, from political to religious to racial. And so far, she has gotten away with it because it’s done under the banner of comedy."
Then, Jesse Lee Peterson weighed in, defending Barr because she -- yes, he said this -- really does look like an ape. Then he descended straight into Obama derangement:
Why such strong, sudden moves by elitist media giant ABC? Roseanne put out a funny tweet discussing a Wikileaks report about the corrupt Obama administration. Valerie Jarrett’s name came up – a wicked woman who was Barack Obama’s senior advisor. Roseanne wrote on Twitter in the early morning hours Tuesday: “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj” – meaning Valerie Jarrett.
Many people, including Roseanne apparently, didn’t know that Valerie Jarrett is mixed-race “black.” People do know Jarrett wears short, straight hair not unlike a “Planet of the Apes” movie character. Many also know Jarrett was born in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The “Fallen Messiah” Barack Obama and his allies oppressed and marginalized Christians, but supported and covered for Muslims any time Jihadists committed terror attacks.
Peterson's rant continued:
This is an unjust and un-American public lynching of Roseanne Barr, meant to shut white people up and put fear in them. The media made sure everybody called her funny tweet “racist,” overreacting and emotionalizing the situation to make it seem so important and “abhorrent.” Even normally down-to-earth conservatives called her tweet “racist.” Logically, her tweet was either fair or inappropriate – but it was not “racist,” and she had a right to say it. Shamefully, Roseanne apologized repeatedly and profusely. Stop apologizing to the children of the lie!
They don’t care when President Trump is called an “orangutan,” or when black conservatives are called monkeys. It is acceptable to hate whites and Trump supporters. It’s a double standard. They falsely labeled Republicans “Nazis” and the Tea Party “racists” and “terrorists.” The word “racist” is more dehumanizing and destructive to whites than the so-called “N-word” is to blacks. The only solution is for whites to drop their fear.
The left seeks to regain power through intimidation of white people, the people who most support truth and freedom in America.
Peterson concluded by once again calling President Trump "the Great White Hope" (still apparently oblivious to its racist origin) who "tells the truth" (yeah, not so much).

Republicans and Democrats alike have thrown everything at President Trump but the proverbial kitchen sink. And yet, like “Old Glory,” i.e., the American flag, flying proudly over Fort McHenry as it withstood the relentless assault of enemies committed to robbing American citizens of their freedom and subjugating us to bow before the Throne of England, President Trump soldiers on.
I cannot help but equate the enormous sense of pride I have for the flag with the leadership of President Trump, considering the viciousness of the assault he has championed through.
President Trump, like that historic dawn during the War of 1812, which witnessed “Old Glory” waving proudly amidst the “rockets’ red glare, bombs bursting in air,” gives us proof that the long night of shame and misery Americans suffered under the past administrations has given way to the dawn of a bold new day.

WND's Cashill Plays Whataboutism To Whitewash Violent Anti-Abortion Activist Topic: WorldNetDaily
WorldNetDaily columnist Jack Cashill is very fond of violent anti-abortion activists. He tried to offer a pre-emptive defense of James Kopp for murdering an abortion doctor -- which went for naught when Kopp confessed to the murder -- then cheered Scott Roeder's "frontier justice" in murdering abortion doctor George Tiller. He also stood up for the terrorist who bombed an abortion clinic and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, killing two.
Cashill brings that love of anti-abortion terrorism to his May 22 column, in which he adds another to his gallery of rogues by highlighting the release of Shelley Shannon from prison. Shannon served 25 years for shooting Tiller and firebombing numerous abortion clinics. He complains that abortion-rights activists are pointing out that Shannon has shown no remorse for her crimes, than jumps into a fit of whataboutism:
Shown zero remorse? Maybe so, but how does that differentiate Shannon from the terrorists holed up at Guantanamo, the very same terrorists for whom the American left has shown almost nothing but sympathy?
According to the Director of National Intelligence, at least 121 of the so-called terrorists released from Guantanamo Bay have re-engaged in terrorism. These numbers have not diminished the left’s drive to have more terrorists released.
Or consider the disparate treatment of President Barack Obama’s favorite terrorists, Bill Ayers and his lovely bride, Bernardine Dohrn.
Cashill then nizarrely defended Shannon for not being as violent as she could have been:
Unlike Ayers and Dohrn, Shannon never tried to kill anyone, including Tiller. She shot him in his arms, the strategy then common among hard-core pro-lifers whose goal was to disable abortionists not to kill them.
For all of Shannon’s admitted violence, there cannot be many women in the federal prison system who have served longer for a non-lethal crime. As to Ayers, he served no time at all.
Cashill omitted the fact that while Ayers stopped his violence decades ago, Shannon has shown no interest in doing so, given who she's been fraternizing with:
"She and I have been in touch for a long time, quite often," said the Rev. Donald Spitz, leader of Pro-Life Virginia and sponsor of the Army of God website, which supports those who have committed violence against abortion clinics and doctors. "The plan is for her to be in a halfway house for now. I think she’s getting there tonight."

Another fan of Shannon’s was Scott Roeder, a Kansas City-area anti-abortion activist who visited Shannon on numerous occasions when she was in prison in Topeka. On a Sunday morning in May 2009, Roeder entered Tiller’s church in Wichita and shot Tiller in the forehead at point-blank range.
As Roeder awaited trial for murder, Spitz told The Star that Shannon had been writing to people from her prison cell, encouraging them to support Roeder and send him money. Spitz shared part of a letter she sent to a supporter after Tiller’s death.
Shannon wrote that when she heard of Tiller's murder, "I almost thought I saw a whole cloud of babies clapping, like a standing ovation."
And in a statement posted on Spitz's website, she said: "If the abortionist remains alive, many babies die. ... Those who killed abortionists chose life for all the innocent babies he would have killed, and did our country a great service."
At his trial, Roeder testified that he admired Shannon and also sought out other abortion foes who were open to using force against abortion doctors. After Roeder was found guilty in 2010, Shannon issued a statement of support from prison.
And because he can't help himself, Cashill concluded with a fit of Obama Derangement Syndrome: "Oh yeah, and Ayers did 'pal around' with Barack Obama, helped write his scam of a book as well." Cashill has for years insisted that Ayers ghost-wrote Obama's book "Dreams From My Father" -- a claim even Cashill's fellow, less conspiratorially-minded conservatives ran from.
WND Columnist Too Busy Spewing Hate To Get His Facts Straight Topic: WorldNetDaily
The last time we saw John Griffing at WorldNetDaily, it was as a highly biased reporter. Now, Griffing is writing as a columnist, and he's even more biased and shaky with the facts.
Griffing's May 22 WND column is based on the faulty premise that anyone who criticizes vicious right-wing attacks on Muslims is somehow anti-Semitic -- in particular, Facebook trying to put a lid on anti-Muslim extremism. At one point, Griffing bizarrely calls Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg a "Jewish anti-Semite criminal mastermind" and "Darth Vader to George Soros’ Emperor Palpatine" because "The George Soros-funded Poynter Institute was hired by Facebook last year to censor 'fake news.'" Actually, Poynter itself received no Soros-linked funding; a separate Poynter division, the International Fact-Checking Network, received money from Soros' Open Society Foundation.
And here's where Griffing's relationship with the truth breaks down considerably. He adds that "there’s another important fact about Soros that indisputably colors his worldview: He’s a Nazi, and not metaphorically. He’s an actual historical Nazi. Soros helped confiscate the property of Jews during World War II."
Wrong. Soros was a 14-year-old Jew in trying to hide his identity in Nazi-occupied Hungary by posing as the godson of his Christian protector, who had been tasked with inventorying property already confiscated from a Jew who had fled the country.
Griffing also huffed that "1,000 Muslim refugees raped hundreds of women on NYE in Cologne," Germany. In fact, desite that number being accepted as gospel by anti-Muslim activists like Griffing, the truth is that no more than "several dozen men" were involved.
Griffing also defended at length anti-Muslim activist Pamela Geller with disclosing he has published several articles at Geller's website.
Griffing is apparently promoting himself these days as a media consultant; his LinkedIn page declares: "When objectivity and intellectual freedom are increasingly under attack & harder to find in traditional media outlets, it is essential that those who are carrying the torch of freedom are equipped for the task. I equip them." It's clear from his column, though, that Griffing wouldn't know objectivity and fact-checking if they bit him.

I’ve been hesitant to ask, but I will no longer resist: Is it time for martial law in many (perhaps all) midsize and big cities that have been ruled by Democrats for decade upon decade?

I’m loathe to speak for our national forefathers, but is it not within reason to suggest that they might deem the conditions in Democratic municipal hegemonies as justification for the suspension of habeas corpus? I do not know the answer; the question and the answer are complex.
What I do know, however, is that the cities governed by the same political party for tens of thousands of consecutive days have forced me to wonder aloud whether Congress must seriously consider the unprecedented step of declaring martial law. If declared, there’s no going back, and none of us know what the aftermath would look like.
How many more must die? When will we unequivocally draw the line in the sand that juveniles committing violent crime in Baltimore is unacceptable? When will Americans have enough of career criminality? If martial law isn’t an, or the, answer or solution, then what is? The majority of residents in these cities are law-abiding and have a right not to die simply because of where they live.
Our Revolutionaries lived under King George III for 37 years, and then decided upon the last resort of waging war; 37 years is but a pittance of time to Democrats in their cities. The king would marvel at how effectively the Democrats have maintained their stranglehold; the British monarchs ain’t got nothin’ on them.
WND's Farah: It's All About The (Tax-Deductible) Benjamins To Get My Book Published Topic: WorldNetDaily
If WorldNetDaily was going through the trouble to set up a thus-far-murky deal with a nonprofit group to raise tax-deductible donations to publish editor Joseph Farah's upcoming book, it was eventually going to lean into that hard. And Farah does just that in his May 25 column unsubtly headlined "Spread gospel, get tax-deduction" (it's a sign of WND's current diminished state that it apparently doesn't have a copy editor who would have caught that unnecessary hyphen).
In it, Farah touts how "from now until its release in September, Gospel for All Nations, a missions organization that takes the message of redemption and restoration to some of the most hostile parts of the world, has offered to accept tax-deductible donations on behalf of the book." Again, Farah can't be bothered to explain how this deal works.
Farah also dramatically hikes the amount of money he's seeking. He had previously claimed that it would cost "over $200,000" to print the book in the numbers he claims he needs to meet alleged demand (he doesn't explain how he knows that), he now claims he needs more than $400,000:
Why do we need financial support for a book that promise to be one of the biggest-selling Christian books of 2018?
Because WND is still reeling from the attacks by the Google-Facebook-YouTube-Amazon online cartel I have been telling you about since January of this year. Why not partner with a company or foundation? Why keep asking us for money?"

WND Portrays Its Gay-Bashing To Stop 4-H Inclusivity Policy As Hard-Hitting Reporting Topic: WorldNetDaily
Last month, we documented how WorldNetdaily let gutless, anti-gay 4-H leaders in Idaho hide behind anonymity to spew hatred at proposed guidelines by rural youth group 4-H to be more inclusive and welcoming toward all children. The freakouts at WND haven't stopped yet.
An April 16 article approvingly cited -- so much so that it's in the headline -- a supporter of the proposed inclusivity changes in Iowa's 4-H program saying he's been attacked by someone who said the "wrath of God will fall upon you" if the policy in implemented. The article then complains that reporting by an actual news organization wasn't as anti-gay as WND's, letting WND managing editor David Kupelian voice the petty attack:
The Des Moines Register article, strongly sympathetic to the LGBTQ side of the debate, was punctuated with three different transgender slide-shows and video features. This year, Iowa’s largest daily newspaper, which was founded before the Civil War, has also been nominated for an award for “Outstanding Newspaper Overall Coverage” from the LGBTQ media-monitoring organization GLAAD.
“Although the Des Moines Register frames the issue as 4-H ‘reaching out to LGBTQ kids,'” comments WND’s Kupelian, “a more accurate assessment would be that LGBTQ activists are attempting to impose, with as little fanfare as possible, an extremely controversial and divisive agenda – the same agenda that has already caused multiple 4-H leaders in Idaho to quit – on Iowa’s 4-H.” Kupelian didn't explain why WND granted those cowardly, homophobic Idaho leaders anonymity.
A radical change is taking place in America’s beloved, century-old 4-H youth organization – one that promises to create a schism as deep and damaging as the one endured by another beloved, century-old youth organization, the Boy Scouts, which many have recently declared “dead.”
“The Mormon Church has pulled out of the Boy Scouts because of their departure from their original mission,” Mary McAlister, senior litigation counsel for the Christian law firm Liberty Counsel, tells WND, “and 4-H’s core constituency could do likewise if 4-H insists on social activism that puts children at risk.”
“Social activism?” “Children at risk”?
McAlister is referring to a largely unpublicized, multi-pronged, state-by-state movement to impose highly controversial transgender policies – including the admission of biological males into female restrooms, locker rooms and showers and mandatory use of exotic transgender pronouns – on the nation’s 4-H rural youth organizations.
After WND’s exclusive reporting on this below-the-radar movement – first in Idaho, and then more recently in Iowa – the public interest law firm Liberty Counsel sent a strongly worded 2,600-word letter demanding, on multiple legal grounds, the Iowa State University Extension Service administering the state’s 4-H program immediately cease its planned imminent adoption of the radical LGBTQ agenda.
Neither Kupelian nor Liberty Counsel explain how treating all people equally is a "radical" agenda. Nevertheless, Kupelian huffs about the guidance "about to be forced on 4-H children as young as 5 throughout the state of Iowa (and other states)" and bizarrely portrays the issuance of the guidance as a "coup."
On May 24, Kupelian cheered when the Iowa 4-H reportedly decided not to adopt the inclusive guidance. He went on to tout how "WND’s investigative efforts<" via "a series of exclusive reports on this below-the-radar movement" got the right-wing Liberty Counsel involved , adding, "The WND reports reveal a largely unpublicized, multi-pronged, state-by-state movement to impose highly contentious transgender policies on the nation’s 4-H rural youth organizations – policies similar to those that have caused major battles over their implementation in the U.S. military and which directly led to a national boycott of Target Corp."
This is what Kupelian and WND are reduced to following its near-death experience -- touting gay-bashing as hard-hitting reporting.
WND's Dream Of Impeaching Obama Still Lives, Never Mind That He's No Longer President Topic: WorldNetDaily
WorldNetDaily has always had a fixation on trying to impeach Barack Obama. In 2010, for example, it teamed with the right-wing (and Joseph Farah-founded) Western Journalism Center to publish a ridiculous "Case for Impeachment" rife with bias and factual errors. WND also demanded the impeachment of Hillary Clinton a year and a half before the 2016 election -- then unironically complained of alleged efforts to impeach Trump before he was "even inaugurated into office."
That lack of irony continues in a May 21 WND article by Art Moore, who pushes the idea -- with the help of right-wing legal group Judicial Watch -- that Obama can and should be impeached even though he's been out of the presidency for more than a year:
If Congress is considering impeachment charges related to the 2016 election, they should center not on President Trump but on former President Obama “and his Nixonian use of various agencies to target candidate Trump,” contends Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
“If there is anyone who needs to be on the dock, it would be President Obama,” he said in an interview Monday with WND.
Fitton’s organization, with 30 lawsuits already in motion, has relentlessly pursued documents and communications related to the Obama administration’s investigation of alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign through Freedom of Information Act requests.

Fitton explained that his tweet Sunday, saying “Obama, btw, can still be impeached,” was to generate discussion about holding Obama accountable, not to suggest that impeachment necessarily would be the best course of action if evidence warranted prosecution. He wanted to emphasize, amid all the impeachment talk by Democrats on Capitol Hill, that if anybody should be impeached, the evidence indicates it should be Obama. William Murphy, a professor of American history at State University of New York at Oswego, confirmed that Congress could impeach a former president, noting the penalties of conviction including a ban from holding future office.
Moore waited until the final few paragraphs to include the more rational view that impeaching someone who's no longer in office may be legally permissible but also a waste of time, and that any actual alleged crimes would be better off being pursued through the legal system.
Still, it's comforting to know that WND's Obama Derangement Syndrome continues unabated.
WND Columnist Gets It Wrong On Effectiveness of Waterboarding Topic: WorldNetDaily
Patrick Brady's May 15 WorldNetDaily column is all about how he's "fed up"with John McCain: "I am sick of his hero stuff and McCain being the gold standard of torture and those who demonize Gina Haspel in his name. The moral preening of those questioning Haspel on the fact that she obeyed the law is nauseating, as is McCain’s slandering of this good woman. Elect these people, and watch the swamp turn into a sewer." Brady goes on to write:
As for torture, it works. Ask a POW. But we don’t torture.
Waterboarding is part of the training for some of our troops; perhaps some members of SEAL Team Six endured it. Would we torture our own troops? Torture is often in the eye of the victim (being locked up and forced to listen to today’s music would make me cave immediately), but pain is indispensable. I am told waterboarding doesn’t involve pain but induces panic and may be the most effective non-torture method of interrogation. It got us Osama bin Laden.
I am with Bud [Day], who said, “Hurrah for the guy who poured the water.”
In fact, waterboarding did not get us Osama bin Laden. A Senate investigation found that waterboarding and other harsh interrogation methods provided no key evidence in the hunt for bin Laden; the key piece of evidence 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed provided came only months after he had been waterboarded 183 times.
Reminder: WND Still Pushing Seth Rich Conspiracies Topic: WorldNetDaily
Even WorldNetDaily's recent near-death experience -- driven in no small part by its lengthy history of publishing bogus conspiracy theories -- isn't stopping it from continuing to exploit Seth Rich's death by pushing conspiracy theories about it.
An anonymously written May 16 WND article reports that the Department of Justice won't release records related to Rich's death, as requested by an attorney named Ty Clevenger. As we noted the last time WND touted Clevenger's exploits, he appears to be little more than a gadfly lawyer motivated more by his hatred of the Clintons than by any alleged sense of justice.
The article then goes on to rehash the conspiracy theories, claiming that "The Metropolitan Police Department and Washington Mayor Muriel Bowers [sic] insist Rich was randomly killed during a “botched robbery.” But others are doubtful because he was found with his wallet, credit cards and other valuables" and that "WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has hinted that Rich, and not Russian agents, may have been the source of the Democratic National Committee emails he published online."
Assange's continued insistence on being coy about Rich fuels those conspiracy theories, despite his strategy of creating "maximum ambiguity" and not telling the truth.
We'd complain about WND continuing its irresponsible ways, but Joseph Farah never promised to fix WND's faulty brand of journalism, let alone admitted there is a problem in the first place.
WND Columnist Pushes Lies About Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood Topic: WorldNetDaily
David Ruzicka's May 17 WorldNetDaily column is dedicated ot attacking Kamala Harris for a couple of reasons. The first is calling waterboarding torture and thus immoral; Ruzicka claimed that "Her torture definition could’ve come straight from the pages of '1984'" and that "Kamala wouldn’t know morality or torture if it hit her in the face." He further huffed:

I can’t find a single instance of any leftist getting upset about a Fox News reporter or our military being tortured. Of course, they do hate Fox News more than terrorists. Silly me. Probably celebrated Harrigan’s waterboarding.
The only thing tortured here is the definition of the word, “torture.”
U.S. waterboarding isn’t torture, and it isn’t immoral. As done by the U.S. it’s a very moral way to get information from a murderous wretch to save innocent life. The terrorist isn’t physically harmed at all! That seems humane in the extreme!
So, waterboarding isn't torture when Americans do it -- which is itself a very tortured definition of it. Also, Harrigan was pretty much the only journalist who underwent waterboarding for reporting purposes who thought it wasn't torture. Oh, and a Senate committee found that waterboarding didn't work in trying to gain accurate information.
Ruzicka also attacked Harris' support for Planned Parenthood, claming that the group's "founder, Margaret Sanger, said, 'Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated'" In fact, Sanger said no such thing.
Ruzicka also claimed that Planned Parenthood "puts 79 percent of its clinics in minority neighborhoods (let that sink in) to carry out Sanger’s vision of exterminating black people." This isn't true either; as we documented, the claim -- from an anti-abortion group -- actually stated that 70 percent of clinics were "in or near" minority neighborhoods, with the exceedingly generous definition of "near" being a two-mile radius.
That's a lot of falsehoods and misleading information coming from a man who claims to be a Christian pastor.
WND Columnist Begs For God To Do Something To America Over Abortion Topic: WorldNetDaily
WorldNetDaily apparently seems to think that since God purportedly intervened in American affairs to make sure Donald Trump was elected president, He should be helping right-wingers out with their political agenda.
We've already documented WND columnist Larry Nevenhoven lamenting that God wasn't helping him go gay-bashing. Now, another WND columnist is begging for divine political intervention.
In a May 15 column headlined "Is God mad at America because of abortion?" Jerry Newcombe asks, "Is America shaking its collective fist at God through the wholesale slaughter of the unborn?" After some dubious likening of abortion to slavery, Newcombe writes:
Does God sleep? Does the blood of tens of millions of aborted babies not cry out to Him?
During the Civil War, the great American author William Wadsworth Longfellow wrote a Christmas carol entitled “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.” In this poem, he struggles with how the bells peal out “peace on earth, good will to men,” but the reality he sees is anything but.
He continues: “And in despair I bowed my head: / ‘There is no peace on earth,’ I said / ‘For hate is strong, and mocks the song / Of peace on earth, good will to men.'”
How to resolve this seeming conflict? He comes to this great conclusion: “Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: / ‘God is not dead, nor doth He sleep; / The wrong shall fail, the right prevail, / With peace on earth, good will to men.'”
Just because evil may prevail for a time, God will only allow it for a while. There will come a time of reckoning. How can America pretend that God Almighty is pleased with the blood of 60 million unborn babies on our hands? Lord, have mercy.
Newcombe has previously lied to downplay the extent of anti-abortion violence.
WND Doubles Down on Bogus Claims About Calif. Bill Banning Conversion Therapy Topic: WorldNetDaily
We've already caught WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah spreading the false claim that AB 2943, a proposed law in California that would ban anti-gay conversion therapy for commercial purposes, would also ban the Bible. WND has apparently decided to double down on misinformation about the bill.
An anonymously written May 15 WND article misleads from the get-go, falsely claiming that the bill is designed so "people with same-sex inclinations don’t hear messages challenging them." Then it quotes Mike Huckabee ranting at length about how the bill is "one of the most dramatic ideological shifts away from the First Amendment in our nation’s history" and hyperbolically claiming that "it can easily be interpreted to stop the sale goods and services that promote a biblical worldview!” and that "the sale of ANY book that states the practice of homosexuality or transgender identification as immoral actions would be illegal in California. …This could include the Bible!”
Uh, no. As we noted, the bill's sponsor says it does not ban the Bible or any other book or speech.
The article then quotes an article from the right-wing site The Federalist that appears to put the lie to the idea that conversion therapy is a legitimate thing at all; in it, the author claims it's all about demonstrating how "Christ can empower people not to engage in homosexual practice or not to identify as ‘gay’ or ‘transgender’ because such behaviors and self-identities are morally wrong" or about "efforts to persuade people of Christ’s power to transform in this area."
That's evangelism, not therapy as recognized by any mental health professional.
WND Finds A New Bible Hero To Liken Trump To Topic: WorldNetDaily
WorldNetDaily has long seen Donald Trump as a figure of Biblical proportions, repeatedly pushing the idea that God himself had a hand in Trump's election as president. But there's another Biblical figure to which WND has likened Trump.
A May 15 WND article highlights how Fox News host Jeanine Pirro "is comparing the president to the biblical King Cyrus," adding: "Cyrus, a Persian king, founded the Achaemenid Empire, conquered Babylon and made history by allowing the Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild their Temple. The prophet Isaiah wrote of him as an 'anointed one.'"
This is far from the first time WND has likened Trump to Cyrus. Even before the election, an October 2016 article by the notorious Jerome Corsi touted a sermon "sweeping quietly across evangelical America" featuring "a minister asking a simple question: 'Would you have voted for Cyrus the Great?'" The sermon didn't mention Trump but implicitly argued that God would "use a pagan king like Cyrus the Great to advance his glory" like he would purportedly use Trump.
Another pre-election article cited an Israeli rabbi and "international Bible codes expert" who "sees Trump as a leader in the mold of Cyrus the Great of Persia, who helped free the Jewish people from Babylonian captivity in Old Testament times. They were then able to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem."
a September column by WND editor Joseph Farah touted how "Michael Freund, an American-Israeli political activist, pleads with President Donald Trump to follow in the footsteps of Cyrus the Great by fulfilling his campaign promise to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to the nation’s capital, Jerusalem." Farah concluded: "All I can add is this: From Freund’s keyboard to Trump’s heart to God’s ears."
In December, WND promoted a claim that Trump's moving the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem would help lead to the construction of the third temple, citing the spokeman for a group of organizations working towards making the Third Temple a reality, claiming that "Trump’s role similar to the one played by Cyrus, the Persian king who ended the Babylonian exile and helped build the Second Jewish Temple."
In February, as we previously noted, WND touted a commemorative Trump coin minted by the far-right Israeli rabbinical group the Sanhedrain marking the embassy move, which would also have "an image of the ancient Persian King Cyrus, who was key to the construction of the Second Temple."
An April article highlighted how the Sanhedrin and other groups were making another commemorative coin to fund the construction of the Third Temple. The article stated of the earlier coin: "The Trump-Cyrus coin, which honored two Israeli foreign heroes – one present and one past – came following President Trump’s decision to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, Israel’s capital." The article quoted a spokesman saying, "Hopefully, Trump will continue in this path and, like Cyrus, play a central role in the building of the Temple."
Notice the conflation of moving the embassy to Jerusalem and building the Third Temple. The temple reconstruction on the Temple Mount -- currently home to a mosque -- is something WND has been cheerlead ing for years, though Farah has tried to deny that he supports it because it sets in motion certain End Times prophecies.
